Hi, folks.
Off-schedule post here.
If you receive (or even better, read) my Substack posts, you probably know that each haiku postcard I create is mailed to someone selected at random. It’s not a raffle — everyone who sends me an address will get a card. It’s just a matter of random order.
At the moment, I have only 16 addresses left in the old random-selection hat, meaning I’m going to run out soon…
Addresses are KEY to this Project
This project began with me just writing haiku on postcards and mailing them out. Only later did it evolve to included the posed photos and social media posts.
I was looking for a way to improve as a haiku poet, and I figured that actually mailing each haiku to an actual person would motivate me to be a better poet. That result may be debatable.
However, the mailing-to-someone aspect remains essential. Each haiku MUST be mailed to someone. It is absolutely key.

If you do send me your address, I promise to never share, sell, or divulge it to anyone. I won’t even use it for any future mailings. Just the haiku, and that’s all.
So please, drop me a line at mailto:andrew.o.dugas@gmail.com?subject=Hey%20Haiku%20Andy,%20Send%20Me%20a%20Haiku!
This will automatically provide a subject line, so my mail filter identifies the request.
I hope to hear from you.
If you’ve already received haiku postcard from me, well, I hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to request a postcard for a friend or other loved one.
Be well!
