Sorry sorry sorry.

I’m a day late on this. We spent the last week hurriedly finishing packing up our home of nine years, the backdrop of many a haiku. I survived cancer in that house. I finished my novel in that house. Some of the best years of my marriage, so far anyway, were in that house. Our son and his then-future-wife lived in that house for a spell when they moved up from LA. We had two cats and a dog when we moved in, and have two cats and a dog now, albeit different ones. Anyway, we couldn’t find a box big enough for all the memories, so like any true San Franciscan, we dumped them on the corner. Er, I mean, we packed them into our hearts, where there’s plenty of room for those and all future memories.

Enough with the sentimentality already. Here are the week’s haiku, and where I sent them.
